Terms & conditions

Booking & payments

All bookings are managed through an online booking platform, Acuity. 

Clients can choose treatment type, date and time, when available. Bookings can be made online, in person, or over the phone, preferably via text. Contact details must be provided for all bookings. 

Clients must fill out a pre-treatment consultation form prior to every treatment regardless of visit frequency. 

Joanna Massages accepts all major credit and debit cards. 

Deposit

Clients are required to pay in full or pay a deposit of 50% of the treatment value at the point of booking to secure the appointment. The deposit will be used towards the treatment cost. 

If you reschedule your appointment with over 48 hours notice the deposit will be transferred to the future booking.
If you cancel your appointment with over 48 hours notice, the deposit will be fully refunded.

If you reschedule or cancel your appointment with less than 48 hours notice, your deposit will be retained. 

Cancellations & rescheduling

The following cancellation terms shall apply: 

  1. If you cancel your appointment with at least 48 hours notice your deposit will be fully refunded.  If you reschedule your appointment with at least 48 hours notice your deposit will be transferred to the future booking.

  2. If you cancel or reschedule with less than 48 hours notice before your scheduled appointment then Joanna Massages reserves the right to keep your deposit or charge you 50% of the total booking value if no deposit paid. 

  3. If you cancel or reschedule with 1 hour notice or do not arrive at all, Joanna Massages reserves the right to charge you for the full treatment amount regardless of payment method (100% of the total booking value). 

These cancellation procedures apply to cancellation for any reason, including reasons beyond your control and are in place to ensure that the therapist is paid for their time. 

Late arrivals & no shows

If you arrive to your appointment 20 min late (or more) you may be refused to be seen and will be charged a full fee.

If you arrive late to your appointment for any reason, your treatment time will be reduced in consideration of the next client. 

All late arrivals will be charged the full value of the treatment regardless of payment method. 

Pregnancy

Joanna Massages does not offer pregnancy massage. 

Joanna Massages must be informed of any pregnancies to the best of the clients knowledge at the time of booking. 

Joanna Massages will not be held liable for any consequences in connection with a client not disclosing  pregnancy to them prior to the appointment.

Health conditions

All health conditions and any medication must be disclosed on a client’s pre-treatment form.  

Joanna Massages must be informed of any health conditions to the best of a client’s knowledge at the point of booking. 

Etiquette

Joanna Massages is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal items during client’s visit to the studios. 

Joanna Massages reserves the right to refuse treatment to any client who is physically or verbally abusive towards any of our staff- including but not limited to any inappropriate, aggressive or sexual behaviour. 

We reserve the right to refuse treatment to any client who is intoxicated or believed to be under the influence of non-medicated drugs. 

Joanna Massages reserves the right to refuse to perform treatments, at any point in accordance with their professional code of conduct and duty of care.

Insurance

Joanna Massages is insured for the services and treatments they provide to their clients.
